About Me

Statement

For me, games are not just for playing, they are an early iteration of what they could be. I enjoy thinking of new ways to excite and motivate the player. My goal is to give players an experience they have never experienced before and push the boundaries of existing limitations into the next generation of gaming

My Story

After leaving school in 1995, I trained to become a computer system support technician and after 15 years in the IT industry, I reached management level and gained a lot of experience and understanding for managing customer contracts and staff.
I embarked on a year long journey around Australia to find myself and decide where I wanted to take my career. I decided that my real passion has always really been video games. I have always played video games since an early age and is the one thing that still keeps me going each night when relaxing. I have always had an eye for finding problems or features that I would improve upon in any game as no game is perfect. I thought that if I could make my own games, that would be a dream come true.
In September 2009, I found Train2Game which specialised in teaching students how to design games - my dream job. I joined the course and loved every minute of it since.
I have put my workings during my course on display here in my portfolio for your perusal, but the ideas I have in my head are numerous, sometimes ludicrous but always ambitious! If some of my ideas where to see the light of day, I’d be a lucky boy. Some of my ideas for games scare and excite me at the same time because they push the boundaries of what is currently possible in programming.
